World Air Superiority Aircraft?

Question by Adam: World Air Superiority Aircraft?
Ok so it seems there is an air superiority arms race. Only recently this has come to light and manifested physically since confirmation of all models by various countries have been confirmed.

So who will suffer?

I think at the top of the List is Britain, being in the top 3 military powers they haven’t anything planned for air superiority.

China has a twin engined stealth Chengdu J-20, In production, Stealth, Impressive payload, speeds etc really stands up to the F-22

Sukhoi PAK FA again, very impressive stealth gen 5 aircraft.

It seems that Buying the F-35 is a mistake. It has stealth, no super cruise, max speed Mach 1.6.

It seems to me that if WWIII hit, they’d get slaughtered,

It seems they will be getting a very entry level aircraft, with no distinctive advantages.

Is Britain ever going to build an independent stealth aircraft themselves?

With the F-22 having stopped production and the EF typhoon standing less chance everyday, Air superiority it seems has shifted to the east

Whats going on!!!
MARK F: That’s exactly the problem! We don’t need any more Multi role fighters, United States Air Force Chief of Staff General Jumper said, “I have flown all the air force jets. None was as good as the Eurofighter.” and the fact it has super cruise unlike the F-35 and is carrier capable like the F-35 doesn’t justify buying it, the euro fighter isn’t to be decommissioned until around 2035. We like other nations e.g. China, Russia, US, India need to be developing a superiority fighter

The EF more than happily fills its boots, its faster, more agile, carries a higher payload, already has helmet mounted display, longer range stroke capabilities, less maintenance and £ for £ its a very very good aircraft.

There is not going to be a “world war”. China and Russia are regional powers and will remain so, there’s no reason for them to do otherwise.

Question by LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE MEEEEEE!!!!: So, all 4 of the earliest civilizations are now 3rd world, and the former “barbarians” are now 1st world?
The 4 earliest civilizations were the Nile River civilization (present day Egypt), the Euphrates-Tigris Rivers civilization (present day Iraq), Indus River civilization (present day India), Yangtze-Yellow Rivers civilization (present day China), all of which date to at least 2500 BC, are now reduced to 3rd world status, whereas the NW Europeans, which were considered by these civilizations as nothing but “barbarians”, are now the 1st world. The table has turn 180 degrees. Agree?

Who me? Grow old? Are you nuts?
Time touches us physically…not
our minds…who is afraid?…..from just me!!!!

From Hsu Chicheng, a contemporary poet from China:

“Is it time for you to get off work?
Yet you look back again and again.
What and whom are you reluctant to part with?
Look! The sun
Is coming with its strong rays
Like the surging waves
In Yangtze River…”

“When spring comes and the chance appears,
I will turn into a butterfly, flying gracefully
Into a bright flower of poetry.”

So, now that winter is upon us,
do we treat it as winter?
Or the prelude to Spring?

I liked “Turning into a Butterfly” least, but I lapped the rest up gratefully thanks. He’s a very talented man, as is Yang Zongze who I think is Taiwanese, and responsible for these excellent and colloquial translations (if I’ve read the material in the attached link correctly). He’s good!

The World Largest Cargo Ship Information……i tell you Friends?

Question by shami742003: The World Largest Cargo Ship Information……i tell you Friends?
World’s Largest Cargo Ship Get a load of this ship! 15,000 containers and a 207′ beam! And look at the crew size (13) for a ship longer than US aircraft carriers, which have complements of 5,000 men and officers. Think it’s big enough? Notice that 207′ beam means it was NOT designed for the Panama or Suez canal . It is strictly transpacific. Check out the “cruise speed”. 31 mph means the goods arrive four days before the typical container ship traveling at 18 to 20 mph on a China-to-California run. So this behemoth is hugely competitive when carrying perishable goods. This ship was built in three, perhaps as many as five sections. The sections floated together and then welded. It is named Emma Maersk. The command bridge is higher than a ten story building and has eleven rigs that can operate simultaneously.

Additional info:
Country of origin – Denmark
Length – 1,302 ft
Width – 207 ft
Net cargo – 123,200 tons
Engine – 14 in-line cylinders diesel engine (110,000 BHP)
Cruise Speed – 31 mi/h
Cargo capacity – 15,000 TEU (1 TEU = 20 ft3 container)
Crew – 13 people
First Trip – Sept. 08, 2006
Construction cost – US $ 145,000,000+

The silicone paint applied to the ship’s bottom reduces water resistance and saves 317,000 gallons of diesel per year

World War 3 Scenario?

Question by : World War 3 Scenario?
I think that soon enough, the world will once again see a global economy and relations dominated not by one but multiple superpowers. In addition to the US, there will be new superpowers like Russia, India, and China.

If a world war were to break out, it would be when China had become powerful enough to contest and possibly defeat the United States. My idea of what would happen would be that China may try to retake Taiwan and make it once again become a part of the PRC. The US would immediately try to impose force on the Chinese and fight along side of the Taiwanese. Eventually, China may decide that it was time to also expand downward towards India. However, from the start of the Taiwan conflict, India probably would have begun to build up their military (in addition to many countries military buildup preceding the Taiwan conflict in response to military tensions) and mass their troops at the border they share with China. There, China would probably bombard Indian troops stationed in the Himalayas (the only passage between India and China directly) all winter until Spring when their superior air power would force the Indians back to the plains behind the mountains. As China advanced through the mountains, there would be a standoff… India would have much better training for plain warfare and would quickly defeat China in the open. And China, although they have a better military, would be wary of advancing further because supply lines would be stretched very thin across the Himalayas.

Back with the US, neither America or China could invade one another immediately due to each others area denial weapons and green water navies. However, I think that eventually, the US and NATO would develop an invasion plan to insert troops through the western boarder of China where there is much less infrastructure and ability for the Chinese to defend. However, this would also make the movement East very slow for NATO given that they too would have limited mobility due to the lack of highways and roads. They would have to gain air superiority enough to use cargo planes and helicopters to advance deeper into China.

Continuing, I think that Russia would stay neutral for as long as possible, but they too would eventually join. I can’t be sure who they would fight with but most likely they would attack the Chinese because of improving relations with America, alliance to India, and the possible knowledge that they would lose against EU, NATO, and the US. They also are paranoid as of now that some time in the future, the Chinese will begin to build and set up economies in Eastern Russia until it essentially became a part of China, so the Russians would only have strengthened their paranoia when the Chinese became expansionist.

Eventually, China would hold most of or all of South East Asia, most of India, and possibly contesting over Japan, the Pacific, and South Eastern Russia.

Once the Chinese people learned of China losing they would revolt, shutting down factories and economic resources, halting China’s military. They would also eventually rise up against the government and easily overthrow it. In a desperate attempt to turn around the war the Chinese government would consider using nuclear deterrents.

China is as of now growing in their numbers of nuclear deterrents and thermonuclear weapons, with US and Russian disarmament, they would very possibly have the most and strongest nukes in the world. Their “City-Busters” are about 3-5 megatons of yield and are capable of being deployed to any city or target in the world. Especially with their new developments in stealth cruise missiles and ballistic missiles, the Chinese would undoubtedly be able to hit many targets even when confronted with the US AEGIS anti-missile system. Worst of all, unlike every allied nuclear armed country, China is not legally bound to use nuclear weapons defensively.

Eventually, they would be defeated, their capital destroyed and captured, and their military dissolved.

In the aftermath, China would pay unimaginable tolls to rebuild themselves and the countries they fought. Their military would be incredibly diminished and legally restricted from expansion and probably (like the Japanese in WWII) legally bound to NEVER use their military offensively again.

Even without nuclear weapons, ever country around the world would suffer incredible losses, astronomically higher that WWI and WWII combined. My guess would be in the hundred millions, approaching a billion casualties. Every country around the world would spend decades rebuilding their infrastructure, economy, population, cities, militaries, and lives.

Q&A: Will Asians Rule The World Specifically The Chinese and The Japanese???

Question by Britney S: Will Asians Rule The World Specifically The Chinese and The Japanese???
Currently right now the world is ruled by white people even though they are the minority when it comes down to the world’s population. The majority of the Earth’s people are infact Asian and are doing really well econmically. The 2 power Asian countries right now is China and Japan. They are smarter than most White Europeans and White Americans and have better work ethics. A lot of things that we buy is made from China and the technological things we own/purchase come from Japan such as games. Many white men and a few white women are having families with them and are diluting their Caucasian bloodline. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are a perfect example of this since they both have an asian relative way back and the asian blood showed through with their child Suri Cruise. Every caucasian person in the world could interbreed with them(the Asians) and still there’ll be an astounding amount of pure blooded Asians in the World. When will they kick out white people for world power?

Are parts of War of the Worlds(2005) based on an old world war 2 movie?

Question by Timmy T: Are parts of War of the Worlds(2005) based on an old world war 2 movie?
A friend of mine, in a video production class, told me that he read a book of movie scripts. In it he found the script to some old world war 2 movie. He said that scenes from war of the worlds were reproduced word for word from this movie. Like the scene where tom cruise and his family have the only working car and they leave the city while everyone behind them dies. Instead of aliens killing people it’s the japanese invading, possibly china or the phillipines, and killing everyone. There are other scenes that do this too, I can’t remember which, the only difference is that names and places are switched. Can anyone verify this? If this is true I’d like to know what movie is it?
yes i know it’s based on a novel
i’m asking if parts of the script, dialogue, and scenes were tkaen from an old world war 2 movie
stop telling me it’s based on a book by welles\
I ALREADY KNOW
i’m asking if PARTS OF THE SCRIPT WERE TAKEN FROM ANOTHER MOVIE!
i know the movie has nothing to do with ww2
i’m saying that steven spielberg took parts from an old ww2 movie and changed it to suit war of the worlds
