I am thinking about going on a cruise to Western Caribbean with my husband BUT i’m not sure what documents do I need.
I am a permanent resident of united states with a green card. I have China passport. Do I need to obtain any visas before I leave? my passport expires in Dec. 27,2011, and I want to sail on May 7, 2011, will it be okay? it still got six months.
Carnival Cruise : the ports: starts in New Orleans, LA, then Belize, Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan ,Cozumel, Mexico, back to New Orleans, LA.

You’ll be fine. Take the green card and your passport and just to be safe anything else you have that proves you’re here legally.

we are international student from China, we want take cruise vacation to western caribbean, but we do not know if our F1 visa can get on board. If so what document do we need for the cruise?

Just need your passport to go on the cruise…call the cruise line and confirm this. Now…I just want to be sure you know the requirements for leaving the U.S. and returning to the U.S. while you are on an F-1 student visa. You MUST go to the international student office at your university and get a I-20 form. Be absolutely sure you go to that office and get the proper paperwork so you will be able to re-enter the U.S.

What kind of cruise I can go? Or where that do not need extra visa application? I know Mexico need to apply visa. How about Bahama, or Puerto Rico’s ?

You can propably go to Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands because they are considered part of the US. Everywhere else you will need apply for a visa.
